Half an hour from Palma de Mallorca, near the beautiful port town of Sóller is the Finca Ca n’Ai, a working farm and charming adults only hotel. This area, in the North West of Mallorca, is often dubbed as a walker’s paradise for it’s haven of rural beauty.
Having witnessed it first hand, it’s not hard to see why!
Set in a backdrop of citrus groves and mountains, the Finca Ca n’Ai couldn’t be more perfectly located particularly if you’re a hiking fan.
The grounds are extensive but the number of suites aren’t, making it all the more appealing.
Guests are assured privacy and other than at meal times, it’s very rare to encounter anyone.
We visited in April when it was still too cold to make full use of the outdoor space, terrace and pools but I imagine in summer, it would be even more blissful.
The accommodation is without doubt one of the most enticing aspects of the hotel. Each suite is slightly different in shape and size but one thing they have in common aside from their amenities is their distinguishing yet charming features. I loved the terracotta doorway leading into the tiled shower room and I’m also a huge fan of exposed brickwork which most definitely adds to the Finca’s rustic feel.
With a restaurant located onsite, all your culinary needs are catered for. This is ideal if you don’t intend on venturing outside of the hotel grounds. We enjoyed a slap-up breakfast here every morning but opted to dine in the centre of Sóller in the evenings. The breakfast spread was plentiful and typical of what you find in Spain. Toasted bread with garlic and tomatoes proved to be extremely popular as did the fresh orange juice, made to order eggs and delicious cakes and pastries.
Does the Finca Ca n’Ai have all the amenities you might expect of a branded hotel? Not quite, but that merely adds to its charm. Offering guests a more intimate hotel experience, this gorgeous Spanish Finca is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to get away from it all without compromising on luxury.
