Isn’t this month’s travel linkup just the best topic ever…..?!!!! I mean travel moments that have sparked joy….where does one even begin?! Grab a cup of tea and get comfortable because I really don’t know how long this post will go on for. #SorryNotSorry π
New York – October 2013

My most iconic and romantic travel moment happened on the 4th October 2013. I was in New York for work with my boss and my bosses boss. It wasn’t exactly my idea of a “dream team” but I took comfort in knowing that I was catching up with an old friend that Friday night minus the bosses! Also the 4th October coincided with the 5 year anniversary to my then boyfriend – I couldn’t not celebrate right?!

A few weeks earlier, I asked Ian if he fancied flying out to NYC for a long weekend BUT he said he was too busy with work. That morning I woke up to a message from him saying he had a really busy day and wouldn’t get chance to call me until late that evening my time. Little did I know he was actually boarding his flight to New York! Fast forward to 8:45pm my time and there I was (45 minutes late π!) being blindly led into the private dining room of a cute restaurant in Greenwich thinking I was meeting my friend. Before I had chance to adjust to the room (it was really quite dark), my (now) hubbie strolled out from the corner of the room, got down on one knee and the rest as they say is history. π
September 2014 Tuscany

You can’t get engaged abroad and not have an overseas wedding am I right?! Fast forward more or less 12 months to the date and here I am in Tuscany – my favourite area the Chianti wine region.

Ian and I said “I do” in front of 55 of our closest family and friends on the 27th September 2014 at Castello di Meleto in Tuscany. This remains my happiest moment to date and I look forward to renewing our vows here again in five years time. #AnyExcuseForAHoliday! π
Bagan March 2017

A magical hot air balloon ride over Bagan is without doubt my favourite EVER travel experience. No words can do this bucket list activity justice. All I will say is nowhere in the world is quite like Bagan and I genuinely mean that. Take a read of the post, watch the video and if you have any questions, hit me up!
The Maldives March 2017

My first solo private press trip to The Maldives in March 2017 is one for the grandkids. If you’ve ever been to The Maldives, you’ll know just how magical these atolls are AND if you haven’t then get ready for some Maldives spam! π

I stayed at two luxury resorts during my time out here. The first was Per Aquum Niyama which was aimed at the family market – although if I’m being honest, it is equally equipped for adults only. We also saw no children while we were out here but this maybe because we were on the “adult” island.

The second resort we stayed at was Huvafen Fushi. This is renowned for having the World’s First Underwater Spa! Both hotels were absolutely incredible BUT what really made the icing on the cake was that my small audience ( of less than 1000 followers on IG) did not phase the brands that I worked with in the slightest! I have lots of blog posts about my time in The Maldives (type in ‘The Maldives’ in the search bar to read my content) AND if you want to know the EXACT steps I took to secure this amazing content marketing campaign, you can find all the info here.
Hotel Villa Honegg – March 2016

Say hello to Hotel Villa Honegg – my favourite hotel in Europe. This was our first Swiss Luxury hotel experience after moving to Geneva in November 2015. It’s also my favourite hotel in Europe thus far. My photos don’t quite do the hotel justice as I hadn’t quite gotten to grips with photo editing back then BUT I think you’ll agree that the backdrop of Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps is pretty stunning!
Quad Biking in Moorea – December 2015

Another of my favourite travel moments is quad biking in Moorea while on honeymoon in December 2015. We waited 15 months to go on an extended 3 week break to LA and French Polynesia and it was totally worth the wait!
